American actress, pop singer and model Lindsay Lohan celebrated her 25th birthday and her new-found freedom by spending her big day with her family in California.The Mean Girls actress was released from house arrest on Wednesday after serving 35 days in home confinement for a probation violation stemming from a 2007 Dui case.Her release came just days before her birthday on Saturday and she celebrated the milestone as a free woman with her family.Lohan's father Micheal reveals his daughter chose to spend the day in California close to her Venice Beach home instead of flying back to her native New York so she could continue with her community service punishment, which stems from her recent legal troubles.Her Father Said "She opted to stay in California instead of coming to New York because she has community service and wanted to concentrate on that."He adds, "She's doing really, really, really well... We're taking it moment by moment... It's just nice that she's off her home arrest and has the opportunity to pursue her career finally."Lohan celebrated the end of her house arrest with a night out in Los Angeles and subsequently denied reports she has gone back to her hard partying ways, insisting, "Nothing exciting happened".
